Frequently Asked Questions

Once placed, your child will be assigned a case manager. That case manager will connect with the assigned PO or DCS worker to schedule weekly meetings. These meetings will provide updates and progress. Due to the program’s structure, we do not communicate directly with parents or guardians.

Youth are allowed daily phone calls to the approved contacts from the intake paperwork. Calls are:

  • Outgoing only, on speakerphone, and 10 minutes long.
  • Documented for records.
  • • Occur daily from 4 PM–8 PM. Visits must be scheduled through your child’s assigned case manager.

The program is 30–60 days, divided into:

  • • First 30 days: Assessment phase. Includes a 2-week stabilization period, psychiatric care (with changes to existing meds allowed without consent), testing around day 15–25, and a final psychological report shared with the PO/DCS team for review.
  • • Last 30 days: Discharge planning.

We ask for your active participation in:

  • • Weekly meetings
  • • Being reachable by phone
  • • Visiting (if approved). The psychologist will also reach out for input—delays in gathering this info may delay the final report.

Please email your child’s assigned case manager directly. They will respond as promptly as possible.
